Using 2023 data from NOAA's State Climate Extremes Committee, Stacker compiled the highest and lowest temperatures ever recorded in each U.S. state and Puerto Rico.
Stacker reviewed 2023 data from NOAA's State Climate Extremes Committee to identify the hottest and coldest temperatures recorded in each U.S. state and in Puerto Rico. The compilation lists the official statewide record highs and lows based on the NOAA dataset.
