Retail theft reported at Weis Supermarket in East Stroudsburg
Suspects reportedly filled carts and left multiple Monroe County stores without paying; investigators ask the public to submit tips.
On October 31st, 2026, the Stroud Area Regional Police Department was dispatched to the Weis Supermarket (695 North Courtland Street) after reports of retail thefts tied to multiple dates and store locations throughout Monroe County. Suspects allegedly filled shopping carts, bypassed all points of sale and left without paying, arriving in different vehicles with registrations that do not belong to those vehicles; police are attempting to identify the individuals and ask anyone with information to submit a tip (case 2026-027478; incident reported September 6, 2026 at 12:00 p.m.).
