On July 16, 2026 at 7:42 a.m., Nazareth police responded to a disturbance at 34 South Main Street after a caller reported a man standing on and damaging their vehicle. Officers identified 58-year-old Richard A. Thomas, who complied with orders to step away; investigators say he made physical contact with a victim. Thomas was taken to the Nazareth Police Station, and after consultation with the District Attorney's Office he was released to a family member; no injuries were reported and charges were filed.
