Robert ‘Bob’ Evans (1938 – 2026)

Robert “Bob” Evans, 88, of Hellertown, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2026. Bob was the son of Earl S. Evans and Emily E. (Kreidler) Evans. He was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Sharon M. Evans. A lifelong resident of the Lehigh Valley, Bob cherished spending the summers of his youth with family and friends in Shawnee on Delaware. After attending Liberty High School, he studied at the Philadelphia Museum School of Industrial Art before serving in the United States Army. Bob, along with his wife, enjoyed a lifelong career as a commercial artist. He spent much of his professional life working with Mack Trucks, a role that complemented his lifelong passion for antique trucks and toys. He especially enjoyed owning and restoring several antique Mack trucks. Bob cultivated a large and generous circle of friends and colleagues. He was active in the Lehigh Valley fine arts community, was a member of the Wassergass Bushmen and treasured Sunday evenings spent with local friends in his restored caboose. He was also deeply involved in the antique trucking community and found great joy in traveling with friends to truck shows throughout North America.

SURVIVORS

He is survived by his daughter, Christine Farace, and her husband, Jay, of Hellertown; his son, RJ Evans, and his wife, April, of Stow, Mass.; and three grandchildren, Jacy and Brody Farace, and Cooper Evans.

SERVICES
