Robert R. Raab, 75, a Vietnam veteran and longtime heavy equipment operator from Upper Saucon Township, died June 25, 2026. He requested no formal services; arrangements are by Heintzelman Funeral Home.
Robert R. Raab (1951 – 2026)
Robert R. Raab, 75, of Upper Saucon Township, Lehigh County, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at the VNA Hospice House of St. Luke’s. Born in Quakertown on May 23, 1951, he was the son of the late William Henry and Mabel Mae (Miller) Raab. Robert served our country faithfully in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. For many years, Robert worked as a dedicated heavy equipment operator for the Operating Engineers Local 825 in Springfield, N.J., until his well-deserved retirement. Outside of his work, he possessed a lifelong passion and enthusiasm for trains.
SURVIVORS
He will be deeply missed by his loving family, including his children: Shannon L. Owens and her husband, Paul Jr. of Quakertown, Troy S. Raab of Coopersburg; siblings: Richard Raab and his wife, Barbara, of Bath, Beverly Ruppert and her husband, Clarence Jr., of Breinigsville, Cindy Schaffer and her husband, David, of Coopersburg, Patricia Raab of Coopersburg; grandchildren: Camara, Cassidy, Paul III, William and Autumn.
SERVICES
