Rockslide closes D&L Trail at Jim Thorpe; Lehigh Gorge train stop moved
A retaining wall supporting Route 209 collapsed on Saturday, Oct. 31, prompting road and trail closures and forcing a popular fall-foliage train to change its boarding location.
Saturday’s wall collapse and rockslide in Carbon County has forced a railroad operator to relocate its stop for a popular fall foliage ride and also closed the D&L Trail in the area, officials said.
