Saugerties Flood Update: Road Safety and Emergency Information

The Town of Saugerties and other Hudson Valley communities are experiencing flooding; a Flash Flood Warning is in effect until 1:45 PM today and, with overnight rainfall and an upcoming high tide shortly before 3:00 PM, further flooding is expected. Officials emphasize public and responder safety: do not drive or walk through flooded roadways, never bypass barriers or closure signs, leave your vehicle if it stalls in rising water and move to higher ground, and stay away from creeks, streams and low‑lying areas. Dial 911 if you are trapped or need emergency rescue, and contact the Saugerties Police Department if you require emergency shelter.
