On June 28, 2026, the Saugerties Police Department defeated the Saugerties Fire Department 21-14 in the 2nd Annual Battle of the Badges flag football game at Saugerties Jr./Sr. High School. Police defense intercepted multiple passes and the offense secured the win; the Fire Department has already begun training in preparation for a 2027 rematch.
