SCCRPD assigns full-time School Resource Officer to Avon Grove Charter School
Effective Monday, August 31st, the Southern Chester County Regional Police Department has assigned a full-time School Resource Officer to Avon Grove Charter School’s State Road campus to enhance safety, emergency preparedness and student-police relations.
The Southern Chester County Regional Police Department has partnered with Avon Grove Charter School, State Road Campus, to provide a full-time School Resource Officer effective Monday, August 31st. The SRO program prioritizes student and staff safety, strengthens relationships between youth and police, and will support emergency preparedness, safety planning, drills and education programs. Officer Dewees will be present on campus, interacting with students and staff and serving as an approachable resource for the school community.
