School Starts Aug. 24 — Keep Our Kids Safe
Wyomissing Police urge drivers, students and parents to follow safety rules as Wyomissing Area and Wilson School Districts reopen on Monday, August 24.
The Wyomissing Area and Wilson School Districts begin the 2026–27 school year Monday, August 24; residents should expect more buses, walkers, cyclists and student crossings. Drivers are asked to slow down, stop for buses with flashing red lights and stop arms, avoid passing stopped buses, watch for pedestrians, and eliminate distractions; students should use sidewalks and crosswalks, make eye contact with drivers, put phones and headphones away, and follow crossing guards. The Wyomissing Police Department encourages everyone to allow extra travel time and prioritize safety so all students arrive to and from school safely.
