SCOTUS declines review of Palatine teacher firing over anti-BLM posts
The justices declined to review lower-court rulings that found a suburban district did not violate the teacher’s constitutional rights.
The U.S. Supreme Court refused to take up appeals of lower-court decisions that upheld the dismissal of a Palatine High School teacher who posted anti-Black Lives Matter content on Facebook. The teacher was fired after students and community activists called for her removal, and appellate courts found the district did not violate her constitutional rights.
