SCOTUS turns down Eli Lilly bid to end 'bounty hunter' lawsuits
The U.S. Supreme Court declined to take up Eli Lilly’s appeal seeking to overturn a $183 million judgment and to challenge what the company calls unconstitutional “bounty hunter” lawsuits.
The U.S. Supreme Court has turned aside Eli Lilly’s effort to throw out a $183 million judgment against the company. Lilly had also asked the high court to curb a legal practice it describes as allowing private “bounty hunter” lawsuits, but the court declined to hear the challenge.
