U.S. Senate Republicans released a blueprint Tuesday for an immigration enforcement funding bill that would allot up to $140 billion for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Customs and Border Protection. The proposal is intended to pave the way to reopen the Department of Homeland Security, which has been shut down for 67 days.
