Shared Google Docs at risk? Review before July 1
Graduates’ Google Workspace accounts will be deleted on July 1; files they own—even if shared with you—will be permanently removed. Check labeled files and transfer any critical items before the deadline.
On July 1, all Google Workspace accounts belonging to graduates from the Class of 2025 will be permanently deleted. Any files owned by these users—even those shared with you in Google Drive—will disappear. Have you checked your shared files yet? If not, now is the time!
- Find affected files: Labels have been applied to documents owned by inactive users.
- Save what’s important: Follow these instructions to transfer critical files.
- Act before July 1: Once files are deleted, they are gone for good.
