Sharla Rae Dunston charged with high-rate DUI after erratic driving in East Earl
East Earl Township police say a breath test showed a .242% BAC after an officer found a vehicle driven by Sharla Rae Dunston veering off the roadway and nearly striking a utility pole on Weaverland Road.
On Oct. 7, 2026 at about 9:30 PM, East Earl Township officers responded to an “erratic driver” report and located a vehicle driven by 34-year-old Sharla Rae Dunston in the 1000 block of Weaverland Rd. Officers say the vehicle veered off the roadway and nearly struck a utility pole; Dunston exhibited signs of intoxication and a breath test reportedly returned a .242% BAC. She was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol (Highest Rate), DUI—General Impairment, and Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic; criminal charges are accusations and she is presumed innocent.
