East Earl Township police say a driver with a .242% BAC veered off Weaverland Road and nearly struck a utility pole; three charges were filed.
East Earl Township officers responded to an “erratic driver” report on Oct. 7, 2026, around 9:30 PM and located a vehicle driven by Sharla Rae Dunston in the 1000 block of Weaverland Road. Officers say the vehicle veered off the roadway and nearly struck a utility pole; after observing signs of intoxication Dunston gave a breath test showing a .242% BAC. She faces charges of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol (Highest Rate), Driving Under the Influence — General Impairment, and Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic; criminal charges are accusations and she is presumed innocent.
