Shawn T. Roche (1963 – 2026)

Shawn T. Roche, age 63, of Bethlehem, Pa., and Westbury, Long Island, N.Y., passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2026. He was born on Jan. 23, 1963, in Manhasset, Long Island, to the late Michael J. and June (Bouton) Roche. He will be remembered as a devoted family man, a loyal friend, a hardworking employee and a passionate sports fan whose greatest joy was watching the people he loved succeed. A proud New York Jets fan, he never missed an opportunity to follow his favorite team and share his love of football. But his true favorite pastime was watching his children participate in sports. Whether they were competing on the field, court or sidelines, he was there cheering them on, supporting them and celebrating their accomplishments. His pride grew even greater as his children went on to become coaches themselves, allowing him to continue following the sports he loved while watching them inspire and guide others. Shawn also had a wonderful sense of humor and loved a good laugh. He enjoyed watching The Honeymooners and The Three Stooges, finding comfort and joy in their timeless comedy. Those familiar characters and silly moments were among the simple pleasures that could always bring a smile to his face. His love of laughter was just another part of the warmth and personality that made Shawn so special to those who knew and loved him. His strong work ethic was another defining part of his life. He dedicated 36 years to Lewis Tree Company, where his commitment, reliability and perseverance reflected the kind of person he was: someone who took pride in his work and believed in giving his best every day. Above all, family was at the center of his world. He treasured the time spent with his children and took immense pride in the people they became. His presence at countless games, practices and sporting events created memories that his family will carry with them forever. He leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, loyalty and unwavering support. Though he will be deeply missed, his spirit will live on in his family, in the lessons he taught them and in the many memories made cheering from the sidelines, and fittingly, every Jets game will likely bring a reminder of him, sitting back, watching his team and always believing there was a chance for one more win.

SURVIVORS

Survivors include five children: Daniel and his wife Michela, Joseph, Cassie and her husband Vincent, Mathew and Thomas; four siblings: Michael C. and his wife Denise, Kevin and his wife Gerry, Karen, and Stephen and his wife Heather; three granddaughters: Isabella, Juliette and Penelope; four-legged buddies: Jack, Barnaby, Champ, Luna and Holly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son: Robert.

SERVICES
