Sincere Lanier Arrested in Series of Tavern Burglaries

Summit detectives identified and arrested 22-year-old Sincere M. Lanier of Chicago as an offender in burglaries at Corner Joynt Tavern (7600 W 60th Pl.), Lucky 7 Cafe and Mars Bar committed March 31, 2026. Lanier was transported to Summit and charged with three counts of burglary, two counts of criminal damage to property ($10,000–$100,000) and one count of criminal damage to property greater than $100,000; he is due for a detention hearing at Bridgeview Courthouse. While in Summit custody, surrounding agencies also charged him with offenses in Oak Lawn, Posen and Worth. All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
