Social Security COLA 2027 could push one group's average past $1,000 a month
The Senior Citizens League projects a 3.6% Cost-of-Living Adjustment for 2027 — 0.8 percentage points higher than this year’s 2.8% and the largest increase in four years.
Social Security recipients are on track to receive their biggest Cost of Living Adjustment in four years. That change, brought on by naggingly high inflation, will likely push one group’s average payment above $1,000 a month.
