South Lebanon Township Police are conducting targeted aggressive driving enforcement Oct. 19–Nov. 8, 2026, as part of a statewide initiative with the Pennsylvania State Police and about 300 municipal agencies. Officers will focus on speeding, tailgating, school bus violations, Move Over Law violations and other unsafe behaviors, and drivers found engaging in these actions will be cited. The effort is part of Pennsylvania’s Highway Safety Program with federal funding through PennDOT and NHTSA; PennDOT reported 6,812 aggressive driving crashes in 2025 resulting in 119 fatalities and 437 suspected serious injuries, and drivers are urged to give space, avoid confrontation and report dangerous driving safely (see pa.gov/dotsafety).
