On July 1, 2026, the Steelton Borough Police Department partnered with Pennsylvania State Police Troop H for a joint traffic enforcement operation at locations noted for speeding and hazardous driving. The detail produced 31 traffic stops, 25 warnings, 19 traffic citations, two warrant arrests and one drug arrest. Officials say residents can expect additional joint enforcement efforts this year focusing on speeding, aggressive and impaired driving.
