Former steelworkers or guides trained by them lead sidewalk and Hoover-Mason Trestle tours of the Bethlehem Steel plant site, departing from the lobby of the National Museum of Industrial History (602 E. Second Street) rain or shine. The 1+ hour tours cover the evolution of iron making in the Lehigh Valley, the Bethlehem Plant’s history and role in World Wars I and II, remaining buildings, surrounding ethnic neighborhoods, what life was like working at the plant, and conclude with a question-and-answer session.
