Steven Bowling Arrested in South Greensburg for Burglary and Drug Possession
Police say Steven Bowling entered an employee-only area of Lappen Eye Care and stole an employee's purse; officers later recovered the purse and drugs from his vehicle.
South Greensburg Police arrested 44-year-old Steven Bowling on July 13, 2026, after surveillance showed him enter Lappen Eye Care through a non-patient door and remove a tan lunch-bag purse from the employee break room. Officers located Bowling at an Oakland Avenue address wearing the same clothing seen on video and found the stolen purse, a plastic bag containing methamphetamine, and two marijuana bowls inside his Honda CR-V. He faces charges including burglary, theft, receiving stolen property, criminal trespass and possession of a controlled substance; all charges are accusations and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
