Suspect Takes 9‑Year‑Old’s E‑Bike at Target After ‘Test Ride’
Manheim Township Police are asking the public to identify a man who stole a 9‑year‑old’s e‑bike from the vestibule of Target at 1589 Fruitville Pike after arranging a “test ride.”
Manheim Township Police say a suspect approached a 9‑year‑old in the Target parking lot, asked to test‑ride the child’s e‑bike and left a phone and wallet as collateral. The man later returned the bike but was captured on store surveillance taking it from the vestibule while the owner and friends were inside; he was last seen heading toward Dick’s Sporting Goods wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants and a red Coca‑Cola hat. Anyone who recognizes the individual is asked to contact Sergeant Barry E. Waltz, Jr. at 717‑371‑5212 (cell) or 717‑569‑6401 ext. 1505, or email [email protected]; tips can be kept confidential.
