Suspicious Death Under Investigation in Grand Junction
Mesa County deputies found a deceased person near 32 Road and C Road; the coroner will determine cause and identity.
On August 19, 2026, at about 9:50 a.m., Mesa County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of an individual found unresponsive in an open area near the intersection of 32 Road and C Road in Grand Junction and determined the person was deceased. Investigators with the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office were notified and a formal investigation is underway; the Mesa County Coroner will determine the cause and manner of death and release the individual’s identity.
