Suspicious Death Under Investigation Near 32 Road and C Road in Grand Junction
Mesa County deputies found an unresponsive person on Aug. 19; the coroner will determine cause and identity as investigators probe the death.
On August 19, 2026, at about 9:50 a.m., Mesa County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of an individual found unresponsive in an open area near the intersection of 32 Road and C Road in Grand Junction. Deputies determined the person was deceased; investigators with the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office have opened a formal investigation and the Mesa County Coroner will determine the cause and manner of death and release the individual’s identity. No further information is available at this time and updates will be released as appropriate.
