Tabitha J. Chappel, 39, of Lititz was stopped on June 27, 2026, after officers spotted expired inspection stickers. Police say she exhibited slurred speech, fidgeting and bloodshot eyes, performed poorly on field sobriety tests, and a hospital blood sample tested positive for a combination of prescription medications. She faces one count of DUI — controlled substance (misdemeanor) and two summary traffic charges and has been summoned for preliminary arraignment and hearing; she is presumed innocent.
