The Hail Mary

Sister Kathleen (Marsha Dietlein Bennett) sees divine purpose in Jake Bauer (Daniel Roebuck), a broken man in need of redemption, and offers him a job at an all-boys school before coaxing him into creating a football team. As Bauer becomes a father figure to the boys, he confronts past failures and rekindles his faith in this feel-good, funny story in the vein of The Bells of Saint Mary and classic faith-based sports films.
