Three DeLand Police Lieutenants Graduate From Command Programs

Lieutenants Mike Stacy and Jean Casseus graduated from Northwestern University’s School of Police Staff and Command, and Lieutenant Nick Mathis completed the University of Louisville’s Command Officer Development Course. The department said the rigorous programs equipped the officers with advanced strategies for excellence in policing and continue a legacy that includes Chief Jason Umberger (2008) and Deputy Chief Adam Kisthardt (2009), both Northwestern graduates.
