A decades-old Fairbanks missing-person case was revisited after an anonymous call led investigators to charge a tipster with murder.
A tipster has been charged with murder after making an anonymous phone call about a 1993 death, police say.
Alaska Public Media reports Christopher Popps, 54, of Michigan, is accused of fatally shooting his former co-worker, Patrick Orville Dearth, in Alaska. Dearth, 34, was reported missing to the Fairbanks Police Department in November 1993.
