Tornado warning active for Indiana County — seek safe shelter
The National Weather Service issued an updated tornado warning for Indiana County at 4:04 p.m., in effect until 4:30 p.m.; residents should seek safe shelter.
On Wednesday at 4:04 p.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated tornado warning in effect until 4:30 p.m. for Indiana County.
"At 4:04 p.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 9 miles north of Indiana, moving east at 30 mph," explains the weather service. "Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely."
