On Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at approximately 5:53 a.m., emergency personnel responded to a crash on Route 283 East between the Landisville Road overpass and the State Road off‑ramp in East Hempfield Township. The crash involved a passenger car and a tractor-trailer that rolled over; two individuals were transported to a nearby healthcare facility for evaluation of believed minor injuries.
