On Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at approximately 0553 hrs, emergency personnel responded to a crash on Route 283 East between the Landisville Road overpass and the State Road off-ramp in East Hempfield Township. The crash involved a passenger car and a tractor-trailer that had rolled over; two individuals were transported to a nearby healthcare facility with what are believed to be minor injuries.
