Traffic alert: signal removed at Croton Ave & Crawford Ave

An oversized load damaged the traffic signal at Croton Avenue and Crawford Avenue, and the signal has been removed. Effective immediately the intersection will operate as a one-way stop for traffic on Crawford Avenue while eastbound and westbound traffic on Croton Avenue will continue without stopping; the temporary arrangement may remain in place for an extended period. Motorists on Crawford Avenue should be prepared to stop and all drivers are urged to use caution and obey posted signs, per the New Castle Police Department.
