The North Charleston Police Department and Tri-County law enforcement pledge to remain vigilant and enforce a zero-tolerance policy on street takeovers. Citing South Carolina’s Roadway Protection and Safety Act, agencies say they are empowered to seize vehicles, make arrests, and impose fines and jail time to protect the community.
