Jennifer West, PT, MPT, MBA, MSCS, was in full-blown denial mode after her multiple sclerosis (MS) diagnosis. It’s a common response.

But after years of denying, Jen instead fully embraced it. Today, she leads the MS Wellness Program at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation and serves on the board of the National MS Society. Being involved in the MS community helps her feel less alone and to find her confidence in her diagnosis.

“MS takes away so much from us and it’s hard to look past that,” Jen said. “Five years ago, I took the turn that I can’t outrun it, so let’s make something good out of it.”

She added: “These are my people and I want to play a part in whatever role I can.”
