Two Arrested After Armed Robbery at Sheetz in Swiftwater
Two masked men robbed a Sheetz in Swiftwater around 3 a.m.; police located and stopped their vehicle in Mt. Pocono about 20 minutes later.
On July 12, 2026 at approximately 0300 hours, two masked males entered the Sheetz in Swiftwater, grabbed an employee and forced another to empty the register and surrender cartons of cigarettes. A witness provided a vehicle description; officers reviewed camera footage, issued a BOLO and, at about 0320 hours, Pocono Mountain Regional Police stopped the vehicle in Mt. Pocono and identified the suspects as Andre Knighton and Anthony Pena-Vega. Evidence recovered linked them to the robbery and both were taken to the Monroe County Correctional Facility to await arraignment; Pocono Township Police thanked Pocono Mountain Regional Police and Pennsylvania State Police for their assistance.
