Two Arrested After Armed Robbery at Sheetz in Swiftwater
Two masked men robbed the Sheetz in Swiftwater in the early hours of July 12; a witness followed their vehicle, enabling police to locate and arrest the suspects.
Around 3:00 a.m. on July 12, 2026, two masked males entered the Sheetz in Swiftwater, grabbed an employee and demanded the register and cartons of cigarettes. A witness followed the fleeing vehicle and provided a description; officers reviewed footage, issued a BOLO, and at about 3:20 a.m. Pocono Mountain Regional Police stopped the vehicle in Mt. Pocono. The suspects were identified as Andre Knighton and Anthony Pena‑Vega, evidence linked them to the robbery, and both were taken to the Monroe County Correctional Facility awaiting arraignment; Pocono Township Police thanked regional and state police for their assistance.
