North Charleston officers on proactive patrol near Kapstone Park Saturday observed a vehicle drive across grass, speed through the area and run a stop sign before turning onto Remount Road. When the driver failed to stop for blue lights and sirens, the vehicle traveled about 1.5 miles and stopped in the parking lot at 1444 Remount Road, where officers found open beer containers and about one gram of a white powder that field-tested presumptive positive for cocaine and fentanyl. Twenty-two-year-old Carillo Mazariegos Wilder Tiburcio of Ladson was charged with Failure to Stop for Blue Lights and Sirens; Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine and Fentanyl; and both distribution charges within proximity of a school or park, while 25-year-old passenger Kender Saucedo Garcia was charged with an open container; both were taken to the Al Cannon Detention Center.
