The Union Pacific Big Boy steam locomotive #4014 will transit Upper Providence Township Tuesday morning, July 7, causing expected heavy traffic and delays on Bridge Street in Mont Clare and 2nd Avenue in the Mingo/Royersford area from approximately 9:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Residents should obey all road closure signs and stay at least 25 feet from railroad tracks — including when operating drones — because the locomotive is steam-powered and can cause burns. Railroad right-of-way is private property; do not trespass, per the Upper Providence Township Police Department.
