United Way of Berks County has named Sheila Tulli as its next president.

Tulli will succeed longtime president, Tammy White, upon White’s retirement in June of next year.

According to a press release, Tulli currently serves as senior vice president of resource development and as a member of the organization’s executive leadership team.

She joined United Way in 1999 and has grown throughout her career into an organizational leader with responsibilities extending well beyond fundraising to strategic planning, organizational leadership, community partnerships, donor engagement and staff development.

“Selecting the next president is one of the most important responsibilities entrusted to a Board, and we approached this decision with tremendous care,” said Pete Connors, chair of the United Way of Berks County Board of Directors. “Throughout a thoughtful succession process, Sheila demonstrated the vision, judgment, integrity and understanding of our community that we believe are essential to lead United Way into its next chapter.”

During her tenure, Tulli helped lead annual fundraising campaigns exceeding $11 million and has played a significant role in advancing United Way’s donor engagement strategies, major and leadership giving, strategic priorities and organizational sustainability efforts.
