Upper Darby woman arrested in $7,000 Truist check forgery
Police say a forged ID and $7,000 check were used at a Truist branch; investigators recovered photos of fake IDs, blank checks and banking data on suspects' phones.
On Sept. 3, 2025, between 1440 and 1533 hours, 52-year-old Jill GORMAN of Upper Darby allegedly entered the Truist Financial branch at 750 Crossings Blvd., Caernarvon Township, presented a forged ID and check #603 for $7,000 drawn on victims' Bank of America account; the check was later found to be non-sufficient funds. A joint investigation with Upper Providence Township Police linked GORMAN to a similar incident the same day and tied a rented white BMW X‑Series (NY LWT7741) rented by co-defendant Kervens ISAC; search warrants and cell phone downloads reportedly revealed photos of fake IDs, blank checks and sensitive banking information. Both suspects were apprehended and face multiple charges, including dealing in proceeds of unlawful activities, various forgery and access device fraud counts; all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
