Vehicle Fires After Hitting Tree on South Broad Street
Driver reportedly hit the gas while parking; engine compartment ignited and was extinguished by officers.
On 08/23/2024 at approximately 7:40 p.m., a Ford Fusion in the 100 block of South Broad Street in Lititz Borough struck a tree after the driver inadvertently pressed the gas instead of the brake. The engine compartment caught fire and was extinguished by officers; the vehicle was towed and the driver was taken to a local hospital for evaluation while three passengers reported no injuries.
