Venezuela and Colombia Pledge Military Cooperation on Border
The two leaders agreed to boost joint military efforts to fight organized criminal groups along their border.
Venezuelan President Delcy Rodriguez and Colombian President Gustavo Petro pledged military cooperation to combat “mafias” operating along their shared border. The agreement came as Petro became the first foreign leader to visit Venezuela since the ouster of strongman Nicolas Maduro. The leaders framed the move as a step to strengthen security and curb cross-border criminal activity.
