Victor L. Bottenfield, 68, of Ephrata was charged after Ephrata Police responded to a disturbance in progress on June 21, 2026 at 12:39 p.m. on the 900 block of Rettew Mill Road and determined he made threats while holding an approximately 15.5-inch steel rebar post. Charges of Simple Assault (M2) and Disorderly Conduct (S) were filed through MDJ Landis’ office on June 25, 2026; Bottenfield is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
