Wandercraft and Good Shepherd Rehabilitation collaborate to bring Eve personal exoskeleton to Lehigh Valley
Good Shepherd will be the exclusive provider of Wandercraft’s Eve personal exoskeleton in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley and will host education, patient trials and clinician training as the device moves toward commercial availability.
NEW YORK, NY, and ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Wandercraft, a global leader in self-balancing robotic systems, and Good Shepherd Rehabilitation, a nonprofit rehabilitation network with 30 locations across eastern Pennsylvania, announced a collaboration to support joint education, patient trials and training related to EveTM, Wandercraft’s personal exoskeleton, which is projected to be commercially available later this summer following FDA clearance. Eve is designed for use in indoor settings, providing upright mobility and walking independence for individuals with severe mobility disabilities, starting with people living with spinal cord injuries.
As part of the collaboration, Good Shepherd Rehabilitation will be the exclusive provider of the personal exoskeleton in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley region. The initiative will also bring together clinicians, therapists and engineers to explore how emerging robotic mobility technologies can be integrated into rehabilitation programs.
Once commercially available, prospective Eve users and their companions will be able to learn more about the device at Good Shepherd’s Hyland Center in Allentown, Pa., and across the broader Good Shepherd Rehabilitation network of facilities. Good Shepherd will also continue serving as a key partner on Wandercraft’s Atalante X exoskeleton, which is used in rehabilitation clinic settings.

Good Shepherd Rehabilitation was the first center in the U.S. to use Wandercraft’s Atalante X in clinical practice to help people with severe impairments stand and walk. Good Shepherd recently celebrated patients taking more than 500,000 steps and are rapidly approaching 1 million.
