On May 15, 2026, Lower Allen Township police responded to Walmart at 3400 Hartzdale Drive for an active retail theft; officers stopped a gray van and identified occupants Christopher Staffor Evans, 56, and Caitlyn Wintergrass. Both were accused of concealing stolen items in shopping bags and were taken to Cumberland County Prison; charges and summons were filed. Evans failed to appear for his July 2, 2026 preliminary hearing, and a warrant was issued for his arrest on retail theft (18) 3929(A)(1) and possessing instruments of crime (18 907(A)).
