Warrant issued for Marvin Doug Green in alleged Red Rose Transit phone theft
Ephrata police say surveillance captured Marvin Doug Green taking a phone on a Red Rose Transit bus and later using the victim’s Chime app to transfer $1,519; an arrest warrant has been issued.
On October 5, 2026, the Ephrata Police Department’s Investigation Division filed two felony counts of theft by unlawful taking against 47-year-old Marvin Doug Green of Mount Joy. Police say surveillance from a Red Rose Transit Authority bus shows Green taking a victim’s phone on August 26; he allegedly used the victim’s Chime Bank mobile app to transfer $1,519 to his account. With help from the public, officers identified Green and an arrest warrant was issued. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
