On July 9, 2026 at about 5:52 p.m., Pocono Township officers responded to a single-vehicle crash near Back Mountain Rd and Summit Rd in Scotrun. The driver and sole occupant, 62-year-old Wilfredo Vazquez of the Long Pond area, displayed indicators of impairment and was arrested; charges include PA 75 3802A1 (DUI—general impairment) and PA 75 3309(1) (driving in a single lane).
