Williamsport’s ordinance makes it illegal to transport or possess any beer, wine or alcoholic beverage in an open container on the city’s streets, sidewalks, alleys, public ways or in parking areas of private shopping centers under the Bureau of Police’s jurisdiction. The law also prohibits consuming or possessing open alcohol on another person’s property unless you are a guest, licensee, or invitee.
